Ep36: Soul to Soul: Animal Conversations

Today we are exploring the deep spiritual connection we share with our pets, focusing on animal communication and the afterlife. We discuss the comforting truth that our animals have spirits and continue to visit us long after they have passed on. We acknowledge that communication isn't just about words, but about how the spirit world actually communicates.

Do you think pets have spirits, and do they live on like us?

[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_03] Good afternoon and welcome to The Mediums Voice Podcast. I'm here with my co-host Philip.

[00:00:06] [SPEAKER_01] Hello everyone.

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_03] Hello, it's lovely to be back again. So I had an idea what we were going to talk about or what we were going to chat about. So I was thinking...

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_01] Well before that can we just comment on your Zara perfume that you've made me smell because she's brought this fancy Zara perfume which is a good deal from what I gather. Very nice. But it is very nice so I recommend Zara perfume. Sponsorship, when you're ready. Cheers.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_03] Actually, do you know what? I have a really expensive one. Nobody ever comments. I put on my Zara one and everybody's like, where do you get that from?

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_01] What is that smell?

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_03] Not a bad one. It's just following me around. I'm proud. So today we are going to talk about animal communication and our pets in the afterlife.

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_01] I'm not impersonating any dogs or cows so don't expect me to start me when I've got a woofing.

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_03] Well, do you know what? It's a subject I think that is... I mean we don't profess to know any of it, do we? Absolutely not. But it's an interesting one.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_01] I'm lucky to find me way here, never mind know anything.

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_03] Do you know what? I think it's an interesting one to chat about. You know, we're not here to teach anybody. We're just here to put that thought out there. We're here to talk about it and just to grab some ideas really, isn't it? Which is what I quite like. And just gets you to think, doesn't it? Yeah, it's about thinking, isn't it? So you think like, we've all had pets. You've had a pet, haven't you?

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, a few. Yeah, it's like a zoo at my mother's. God.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_03] It's like that in my house as well, to be fair. And where you live now, you've got a little kitty, haven't you?

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_01] Well, he's not mine, but yeah, he might as well be. What's his name? Bandit.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_03] Bandit. I think that's such a good name. For very good reasons, yeah. Such a good name.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_01] Pain in the backside.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_03] So, you know, when we lose a pet, it's heartbreaking. It is. It's like losing your family, isn't it? Because they're our daily companions, aren't they? Yeah, definitely, yeah. And they show us such unconditional love. But let's put some questions out there and let's see where we go with it all. So if we think about it, what happens when their journey ends? You know, can they still visit us? Do they understand the decisions we make at the end of their lives?

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_03] So today, we are going to chat about, Phil, the beautiful ways animals communicate from the spirit world. So when you feel like you feel that pressure on the bed, sometimes that heaviness. Excuse me? How would you know about that?

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01] And she's gone.

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_03] Should I reword it? When you feel that... I'm not going to reword it. We're not even two minutes in. I'm not even going to reword that. So when you get that funny feeling that something sat next to you, let's put it that way. So when you get that feeling that something sat near you. So we're going to be answering questions, looking and chatting about, do our furry family members ever leave us?

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_03] And that's animals we're talking about. Yeah, I also. So what we're going to do is let's all grab a cup of tea, a cup of coffee and come and sit and have a chat with us. Right. So, Phil, let's start with the question about what happens when their journey in life ends and they make that transition to the spirit world. Obviously, they still come back and visit us. Well, I think that. I've had experiences as well.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_01] I feel like we've jumped the gun a bit there. Because if you think about it, I suppose the question we're asking is, do animals have a spirit just like us? Because before we get to the person, has that animal got a spirit within it just like we do?

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01] And I think logically speaking, I would say it would make sense, doesn't it? And I think, I mean, I don't know. Well, I would say it was the same.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_03] It would be the same as us because I've had experiences with people's beloved pets coming forward when I've been demonstrating. So to have that happen, to have that experience, it has to be.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_01] But I also think, and I know this kind of isn't animal related, but it is, you know, you meet somebody where you have that connection with them. You can't describe it, but there's some sort of connection. Yeah. We have had that with animals where I feel that really strong bond with an animal, even if I've just met her for the first time, for example.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_03] So like in life.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_03] Where we have, we're attracted, we're attracted to people, certain people, aren't we? We have people within our tribe, as you want to put it.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_01] Exactly. Yeah.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_01] I think we get that with animals.

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_03] I think it's the same with animals. So do I. So do you think like that they're meant to be with us? That is part of their life's journey with us? Oh God. That's the question, isn't it? Yeah.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01] I definitely think they've got a spirit.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_03] You think they choose us?

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_02] Oh.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01] I don't know about that. Although cats definitely do. I can vouch for that because Bandit isn't mine and he's, yeah, he follows me around all the time like a lost sheep. But yeah, I definitely think they've got a spirit. I definitely think they pass over. I don't know about whether they choose us or not.

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, I think you're thinking about regression. I think you're thinking about past life. I'm not talking about that.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01] No, neither am I, no.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, right. Yeah. I think that, do you know where you go and look at a litter of puppies or cats or you go into a dog place? Like a, and you walk along, like you said, there's that connection as well. Or something stands out. Do you think they, you know, they're like, oh yes. Yeah. It's a two-way thing.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01] It wasn't my horse, but when I was younger, I worked with a lot of horses. And there was one of those horses that I just felt this connection with. She trusted us completely. I trusted her. And we just had that, from a spiritualist point of view, we had that spiritual connection. Yeah. I don't know what that is and how to describe it really without.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_03] I do, because I used to own horses. Oh, right. Yeah. So I used to have a horse. Of course, yeah. Yeah, of course. I forgot.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_01] I forgot about that.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_03] Of course she did. Of course I did. She had a lion as well. Do you know what? I've had, right? I've had horses. I had them for many, many years, but I also owned ducks. Ducks? Ducks. Yeah. Until Rosie flew off. I was gutted.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_01] I said duck there, not ducks, because I had one duck that I rescued. We called him Charlie Drake.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, that's brilliant. My husband came home from work one day to find me digging a pond in the backyard. And he's like, what are you doing? I'm like, oh, we've got ducks coming later.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01] You're like, what?

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_03] I had a goat.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, right.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_03] Called Heidi.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_01] Right. I bet she didn't hide.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_03] She used to escape and eat the neighbour's plants because they eat everything, don't they? Yeah. Anyway, let's get back to horses. Sorry we've diagrammed that, aren't we? Yeah. Horses, I know from owning horses, they're very emotional animals. Deep feeling. And there's a lot of connection through emotion and feeling to do with horses. So maybe that's when you talk about that connection. Maybe that's where it came from.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_03] Because I know when you're riding, riding a horse, you know, especially if you come to something and the horse is like, you know, your horse is going to be scared.

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Hesitant or it doesn't work. Absolutely. Yeah. You've got to pretend.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_03] And you're sat there and you're like, no, everything's fine. Everything's perfectly fine. Everything's lovely. And off you go again.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_01] Don't mind the sinkhole to the right there.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_03] Or a plastic bag flying by. They spook at anything. I think. So, yeah, I do think that horses are a deeply, you know, a deep feeling animal.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_01] So I guess the other thing then on that is what about other animals then? Because horses, we've experienced, we talked about there, where we've experienced that. But I wouldn't say I've had that experience with every animal.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_03] No, I haven't. No. And I've had quite a few pets. There are some pets that you are, I mean, you're emotionally attached to all your pets. Don't get me wrong. But I know what you're saying when you talk about having that deep connection with an animal.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_01] I didn't have that connection with Charlie Drake. He was a sod. He was a pain in the backside, I tell you.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_03] No, I didn't with my duck either because she just flew away and I was like, Rosie, come back.

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_01] To be fair, he used to fly around, but he'd always come back. But he got attacked by a fox. I know we're digressing slightly here, but he got attacked by a fox. I brought him home and this is when I live with my mum and dad. And my mum and dad's like, what on earth have you brought back? And I was like, oh, I brought a duck back from the allotment. It's temporary. Just while he heals. Next thing you know, I'm digging a pond in the back garden, built my hut and the whole shebang. That sounds like me.

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_01] And he used to fly around the block and two hours up or two, three hours up, they had Rottweilers. And he would sit on the fence and wind the Rottweilers up. And then because he knew they couldn't reach him. So he'd just sit there and wind them up and then he'd fly back home. It was crazy. But anyway.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_03] Well, animals are very sensitive, aren't they? They're very sensitive feeling animals. I think so, yeah. Yeah.

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_01] Like Bandit, for example. He knows if you're down or if you're in a mood.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03] You see, I was going to ask that question as well. Yeah. Animals seem to know what we're feeling, don't they, as well.

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_01] Now, is that because of our auric field, is it? Do you think?

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_03] No, I don't think so.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_01] What do you think it is then?

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_03] I don't know.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_01] It's not that. It's not that, Philip. That's such a ludicrous idea. But God knows what it is.

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_03] Do you know, I think, I'm trying to find the words. Maybe it's like, do you know when, I know when you're feeling sad. I know when you're feeling down.

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_01] Right. Okay. I didn't know that. I try and keep everything wrapped up inside.

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_03] So, maybe they pick up on emotions.

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, yeah. I suppose.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_03] Almost like psychic. That's what I'm asking, yeah.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_01] So, like what we feel and what we think, we put out there, don't we?

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_01] So, are they becoming aware of?

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, sometimes no.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_01] But.

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_03] Maybe it depends. Do you know what? Maybe it depends on when you think about it. Maybe just like with people, it's the same with animals. Some animals don't and some do. Yeah. Because I know I've got a rescue dog and when somebody walks past the window, he's an absolute. So on, so on. Yeah. He does not listen. And he certainly doesn't pick up on the fact when I get annoyed with him.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01] So, with that one. Or maybe he does. Maybe he doesn't just choose us to ignore you. Yeah, or maybe he just ignores me. Probably that. But yeah. Okay. So, let's strip it back then. Yeah. Right back to the basics. So, we both think that animals have spirits. Yes. And we both think that when they physically die, their spirit lives on.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_01] So, back to the communication then.

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_03] Hold on then. Before we move on to the communication, do you think as well that some pets come into our lives at specific moments or specific times in our life when we need them as well? Because I think that.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, I don't know. Yeah. Maybe, but see, I would never buy a pet now. I'd never get a pet. Because I just think I'd like to go off and do whatever I want spontaneously.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_03] But we have therapy pets, don't we? Are you saying I need therapy, Michelle?

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01] Probably do after the last month or so, I tell you. Yeah. Oh, dear. Yeah. So, I don't know in short. I don't know if I agree with them coming into our lives at a certain point. I see.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_03] I think they do.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01] But I've never bought a pet for myself.

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. You see, I have. Yeah.

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Maybe that's why. Yeah. So, when you've previously bought pets, do you think part of that might have been?

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_03] No, I haven't bought a pet specifically for that. To fill a gap.

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_03] No, definitely not. But I think, you know, there's times in our lives when we've got things coming up within our lives. And I've had experience of this where I don't know whether you want to call it a premonition or you're subconsciously tapping in to your life path.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_00] Okay. Yeah.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_03] And I think we do things or things come to us subconsciously. And I'm not saying that we go out and buy a pet specifically.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, I'm feeling a bit crap today. Yeah.

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03] I'm going to go and get a cat. Yeah. But I do think, though. What is it you've got again, your dogs? Oh, my gosh. I've got two St. Bernards. Yeah.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01] And I've got two cats. I'm feeling a bit down. I'll have another St. Bernards.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_03] I know my husband would kill me.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01] And a new sofa for it to sit on.

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_03] I've got two cats and two St. Bernards. And the St. Bernard keeps pouring the ginger cat. He keeps trying to put his paw or her paw on top of the cat and flatten it.

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_01] And I'm sure the cat loves that. Oh, yeah. Yeah.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_03] But my cat thinks it's part of the pack. Oh, right. Yeah. He thinks it's a dog. It's weird. Anyway. Yeah. Back to, yeah. I do think that we do have moments where we do tap in subconsciously or have a premonition about something or get a feeling about something. I'm not saying that we go out and buy an animal. But I do think that maybe, you know, when we go through various moments within our life,

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_03] the way we think, do you know what? That animal has certainly brought me so much companionship, so much support and has got you through times in your life where you thought, do you know what? Without that cat or dog or pet, you know, where would I be?

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah.

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_03] That's true. Yeah. I mean, because sometimes it's not about the words, is it? It's just having, you don't have to say anything. It's just having that companionship. And do you know what as well, though? It's even been proven scientifically that stroking a cat can lower your stress levels and lower your blood pressure. Stroking an animal.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_01] I should be chilled as anything then, because he doesn't leave me alone.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_03] I woke up the other day. I get a bit stressed with my nose.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_01] Honestly, I woke up at four o'clock in the morning and he stood here about an inch from my face, just breathing on us. And I thought, what's he doing? Checking if I'm dead or has he tried killing me in the night? The death experience. Another. Here we go again. Yeah. But it's funny, actually, because when you said that you don't need words. No. That was going to be something that I mentioned, because when we talk about communication, we often think about physical words, don't we? Saying something.

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01] But actually, we communicate in way more different ways than just words, don't we?

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_03] So when we talk about having communication with the animal world, which we do, and we know that. Yeah. I've experienced that myself, and I'm sure you have. But that has never, ever been in words. For me, maybe that's the way I work. I don't know. Um, it's always been about feelings, and I've always seen the animal.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_01] But I mean, not even to do with mediumship, if we're talking about our pets, for example, your pet can, say, do something or act in a certain way that allows you to know that it either wants something or something's wrong.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_01] I mean... They do communicate with us.

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_03] Of course they do. I mean, Dolly, my St. Bernard, you know, will be sat there on a night, and she gets, she can be so annoying sometimes, but she'll just stand right in front of the TV, I am not joking you, and bark at us. And I'm like, oh God, she wants something. What's she after now? And she'll take you into the kitchen, and she will look up at the shelf where her biscuits are, and she will look at you, look back at the shelf, look at you, look back at the shelf, and then bark.

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_03] To me, if that is not communicating, I want to eat biscuit, what is?

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, bandits are the same. Every morning, seven o'clock in the morning, we'll come downstairs, and same with us, we've got a shelf where his treats are, and he'll meow. He doesn't normally meow, but he'll just meow and look at the treats, and I'm like...

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. You're not getting that at seven o'clock in the morning. But for animals, when they pass over to the other side, they must be able to come back and communicate. Of course they do. Yeah, absolutely. And I always think of... I don't believe for one minute they come back and talk to us in the way that I'm talking to you. No. Because I don't feel like that would be natural.

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_01] But also, if you think about it, the spirit world, people who pass over, don't... not often communicate with us like we're communicating now anyway. No. Do they? No. So it makes sense that they're going to communicate in a different way or a similar way to how other people in the spirit world do.

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. It's quite interesting, really, isn't it, when you think about it?

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, because I'm going to hold my hands up. I've always thought animal communication, hmm, I don't know what I think about that or feel about that. But when you break it down in the way that we have, it makes logical sense to me.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_03] It does. Yeah. I mean, for me, I've always experienced it anyway. Not all the time, but, you know, if somebody's had a dog, you know, sometimes I've got their name or if there's been something wrong with them, I've felt that.

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_01] You've been aware of that. Yeah.

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03] But I always see them. I always see them more than I do communicating, if that makes sense. That makes sense, yeah. So I will get their name or... Do you know what I mean? Yeah. I don't get a communication with them like I'd be talking to you.

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_00] Exactly, yeah.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_03] But again, I'll put that question out there. Is that because I've limited myself within my own mind to shut that down and say, well, no, I don't...

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_01] To be honest, I don't think it's that. I think it's just...

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_03] I don't believe that. So therefore, you limit yourself.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_01] Maybe. Maybe. But also, I just think, in reality, for most people, generally speaking, the way that I would communicate with you if I'd passed over to the spirit world is likely going to be the exact same way as an animal would communicate with you when it passes over to the spirit world.

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_03] You see, that's what I think, yeah. Because then it is natural, isn't it?

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, it's energy, it's that feeling that we talk about, the thoughts that drop into our mind. Nobody's saying those words physically to us.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_03] But we do limit ourselves, though, don't we?

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_01] We do, and maybe that's part of the problem.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03] And I think everybody does within their mediumship because we all have certain beliefs, don't we, of what we experience. What do you believe in? What do you not believe in? So therefore, you are limiting yourself.

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, and I think, to be honest, I think people are... Part of the problem is, quite often, especially when you're first starting out, you are actually living this spiritual journey through the experiences of somebody else. Yeah. So you're relying upon somebody else saying, I experienced this, this is how I do it. Yeah. This is how I work.

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_03] Because the more that you progress...

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_01] The less that you need that.

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_03] The more you learn and the more open-minded you become as well, I think, to other experiences or your mind changes on your experience of what you've learned and you become open to other possibilities.

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And I think we just allow the spirit world to have a greater influence... Yeah. ...of our lives. And maybe that's... So... What brings it in.

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. So let's go back because I think there's a lot of people that have had to make that decision. And I did with one of my pets to euthanise. And it's absolutely awful, awful thing. I mean, I had to do that during lockdown. And my... I had a sharpie, a bare coat sharpie. And we... She was nearly 14 years old.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_03] They only live up to normally about 10. So... But she... She got sort of like what they call dog dementia.

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, right.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03] And her anxiety levels were literally through the roof. And I just... I just remember chatting with my husband one day and saying, you know what? You know, what do we do? What do we do? You... It was just scared look within her eyes all the time. Do you know what I mean? And it was awful. Bless her. And I just said, I think we'll know when the time comes. And I was just hoping she would just go in her sleep.

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_03] But I remember just going up the stairs and she always used to sit on the top stair of the landing and just look down on the stairs always. And I just remember going up one day and just looking at her and stroking up. And just the look in her eyes. It just told me... It just said it all. Right. And I've never experienced that before. I've got to be honest. I've never experienced that.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_03] And it's almost like when you talk about that connection. I had that connection with her.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_00] Right. Okay.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_03] And I didn't want to accept the fact that it was time. But I knew deep within myself that it was time. And we had that conversation. Are we doing the right thing? How do we know we're doing the right thing? Is this what she would want? The guilt, everything came with it. And we had the conversation. Took her to the vet.

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_03] And we had that conversation with the vet. And he was like, come to the conclusion that, you know, it would be kinder to her if we did that. Yeah. We made that decision. And we took her home. And I was still struggling with the, you know, am I doing the right thing? Even though that I felt that was what she wanted as well. It sounds awful, but...

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_03] So we had the, we had two weeks with her before we took her, but it was in COVID. But it was so peaceful though, because we sat outside. I remember that it's so clearly we sat outside in the car park because you couldn't go in.

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00] Of course, yeah. Yeah.

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_03] And which was better because she hated the vets. Right. Absolutely hated the vets. So it was really, you know, it was bonus that we didn't go in. And they, do you know what? They were amazing. They came out with this like sheepskin blanket. It was gorgeous. And we sat down with treats with her and it started to rain. Absolutely. And I was like...

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_01] So did they do the whole thing all outside? Outside. Oh, wow.

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_03] But do you know what? It was better. Right. Because you're not inside. You're out in nature. You're out in the countryside. Yeah, yeah. And it started to rain. So we got the umbrella and we put the umbrella over us. And we were just sat in the middle of the car park.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, I'd have been no good.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_03] But they left us with her for a bit and she laid down. I feel quite emotional talking about it now. And she laid down. And do you know what? We spent about 20 minutes with her before they came. And then they... She was... She just laid there and she just peacefully went to sleep.

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, wow.

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_01] But... And in a way, I suppose, because it was during COVID, she'd have been more relaxed because you're in that outside environment.

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_03] I... Do you know what? If ever I had to do it again, I wouldn't want mine to go... Pass away in a vet's. Yeah. It'd be like us going to the doctors. Yeah. Yeah, outside it was the best thing. But...

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_02] Maybe they should offer that for more.

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, maybe. Yeah. Especially for animals that don't like going into the vets. So... There was no stress there for her. It was completely... You know, we were outside to her having a walk. We'd say... Not that we normally lay down on a blanket in the car park. But... Hey-ho. It was natural for her. There was no stress with her. But... The guilt, though. Even though that you know you've done the right thing. The guilt afterwards.

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_03] With the grief as well. Mm-hmm.

[00:26:28] Um...

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_03] But my... My thing is that... I believe, though, that... When she passed over... I remember a couple of days later waking up. And... Within my... You know, when we are... Clairvoyantly seeing when we're working in our mediumship. Mm-hmm. Saw her stood next to my bed. As if to say to me, it's okay. Oh, wow.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03] And that made me feel so much better. Yeah, I bet. And that happened just a few times. And I've not experienced it since. Well, I suppose... But obviously, because the message was passed forward, it's okay. And you've accepted it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Like, after that few times, you've kind of come to terms with it and thought, well, she's... She's here. Yeah. I know that now.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03] Exactly. Yeah. But I feel like, you know, they do know what we're feeling. Yeah. Yeah. It's okay. Right. It's okay that you made that choice. You made that decision. I'm fine by it.

[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_01] And have you had communication from her in any other way?

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_03] Not since that, no. Oh, wow. Not even through somebody else? No.

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_01] Wow. Yeah.

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I know. And I've had other pets that have passed over, but they've never come back. And I've seen them like that. There's only two. Is that because I've had that connection with them, do you think?

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, maybe. Yeah.

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03] Because the other one was, I had a little Westie who got run over. Bless her. I was absolutely devastated. She was my, honestly, my absolute love of my life, that dog. And I remember her coming back and visiting for months, in a way, briefly, coming back every now and again. I would feel her around or spot her. I'd see her.

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_03] But there's only ever two pets that that's happened to, and I've had plenty others. But is that because we're talking about that connection?

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_01] Maybe, yeah. Maybe that's the thing that ties us to them more. Yeah. So you've not had the goat come back?

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03] No. No, definitely not. No, I haven't. Or the horse. Yeah. I've had a few horses.

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_01] Which is food for thought, isn't it? It is. Yes. I've had an experience where I've known that the dog sat on the end of the bed, for example. I know that sounds very kind of cliche, doesn't it? Or stereotypical. Yeah, I know what you're saying, yeah. I've had an experience where I've known, without doubt, who that is. Which dog that was on the end of the bed. But other than that, I've not had a great deal of things from the spirit world.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_01] From animals as such.

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03] No, not a lot. Yeah. I mean...

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_01] I have had mediums give me evidence of them. For example, like the names and stuff like that.

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, no, I've not had that from another medium. Oh, right. Yeah. Oh, I've had that, yeah. Yeah. But like I say, you know, when we talk about, are they in our lives for a reason? We have that deep connection.

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_01] It's got me thinking about all the pets now. Thinking about all the pets and animals that are now in the spirit world.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, it's...

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_01] We might get a message tonight.

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_03] I know. Wouldn't that be weird?

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, it would, yeah.

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_03] Your horse has come back to say nay.

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_01] Nay, Michelle. Nay, lass.

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_03] Stop it or...

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_01] Get a goat instead. Oh no, goats don't go bear. That's a sheep. You don't, oh dear.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_03] It sounds a bit similar though, isn't it? Oh gosh. Oh dear. I think we're truly cracking up, aren't we? Yeah, some of us moderns. Yeah, I know. But it is interesting, isn't it?

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_01] It's very interesting. I think because until you really start looking at these subjects, it's quite easy to just forget about it and not think about it.

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I know. It's just, it's food for thought, isn't it? Exactly, yeah. It just, you know, what we talk about here just gets your mind ticking over, gets it thinking. We don't profess to know anything. We certainly don't. And we're not here to teach anybody anything. We're just simply here to chat, put things out there. And, you know, if there is anybody out there that does soul communication with animals, get in touch. Yeah, definitely.

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_03] We'd love to, definitely love to chat with you and learn a little bit more. You know, come and educate us. So, yeah, anybody out there that wants to come on and have a little chat about animal communication, that would be lovely. Get in touch with us at our email, which is the mediumsvoicepodcast at gmail.com.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, cool. Yeah. And also, if you haven't already subscribed, please subscribe to our YouTube channel, because we're starting to migrate everything across to that. And there's one point, we're now up to 1.7 thousand subscribers on Facebook, and we need to get them onto YouTube as well. So, if you can subscribe to us on YouTube, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_03] And we have a wonderful guest coming up, guest speaker coming up next time, haven't we? Yeah. We're not going to say who it is, because that's spoiler. We don't want to do a spoiler alert. No, not yet. Nope.

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_01] But it's definitely one to watch for, isn't it?

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_03] Yes, watch this space. Yeah. Well, thank you for listening. It's been great. Yeah. Yeah. I've finished now. I've finished the cakes. I've finished the cookies.

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_01] Crisps. Crisks. Like a truck shop in there.

[00:32:31] [SPEAKER_03] It feels like, have you eaten? No. Oh, well, I've got crisps in the car. I've got cookies. And I'm like, I'm supposed to be watching what I eat.

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_01] And these podcasts are telling you, no wonder I've put about 10 stone on this shirt. Anyway.

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. It's been lovely.

[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Until next time, we'll see you later. And yeah. Bye. Bye.
